MIX is not stable.

I say this a lot in lessons: mix is not stable. It’s not a destination, it’s a coordination - a living, breathing balancing act between the two laryngeal registers we call chest and head (or falsetto). Because mix is a coordination, it requires stability. But the mix itself isn’t what provides that stability - its ingredients do.1
